All Shook Up
Hi out there everyone . . . and hello from Elvis’s birthplace, Tupelo, MS! You just never know where I’m going to show up. Although Mommy couldn’t go with me this time, I got to go on a road trip and Oh My Goodness, did I have fun??!!!
For starters, I got to meet the winners of the Mother/Sister/Friend contest and they are the sweetest people you’ll ever meet! Darlene brought her daughter, Cori and her baby granddaughter, Masyn. Darlene’s mom passed away and she’s had a really hard time since then, but I think this contest was very healing for her as she was able to write about it and open up to her doll friends. I know from experience that you doll friends are the best friends a doll (and a girl) could have!
I also got to see my good friends, Karen and Rachel Scott. It was really fun spending time with them. They talked about sculpting together and they told me something really funny. In their backyard, they have a slope, and when they sculpt a doll head that they really don’t like, they go “bowling” with the head in their backyard and break it on the slope! Can you believe it?! I’ll bet they never sculpt a bad head!!! Another thing I learned about all of these girls – is that they all pack a suitcase just like me . . . 1 suitcase for each day I travel. In their case, they were gone 2 days and each had 2 suitcases. You go girls! You can never be too prepared, I always say, because at any moment you need to look Adora Belle!
I brought back lots of photos from Tupelo. I hope you like them. We didn’t have any “Elvis sightings”, but I did happen to sneak a “Baby Elvis sighting!” (I only hope that mommy isn’t reading my blog this week because I think it’s a surprise!) Let me just say that when it comes to dolls – I know CUTE – and “Baby Elvis” is as cute as they come (next to me, of course.) In fact, I got all shook up over him! He can step on my blue suede shoes ANY DAY! (giggles!) Well – I hope you all have an Adora Belle week!
